Repair XREF NamesWin32 and 64, English
General Usage Instructions
This app is a great solution when drawings contain reference drawings and the Reference Name field has been adjusted or is not in synch. Running this app will not affect any reference relationships but will help keep your drawing files robust and organized by ensuring the Reference Name matches the file name that is actually being referenced.
This app can be executed via a script file to batch process multiple drawings!
A log file is generated to report how many references each drawing had and if any Reference Names were repaired.
Note: the location of the log file is in the My Documents folder. The name of the log file is PEN9_XREF_Output.log. The log can be opened in Notepad and is organized by date. The app will append new entries to the log or create a new log file if one does not exist. The log can be cleared out or deleted at any time and the app will create a new log file as necessary.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8/8.1/10) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
If executed in a single drawing (not via a script), the XREF Reference Names may not reflect the update right away. The XREF's can either be reloaded, or the drawing saved, closed and re-opened to reflect the updated Reference Names.
