Description

CADext is the latest, state of the art extension by HungaroCAD Kft. This extension was developed for CAD users who would like to maximize the value of their CAD system. The application consists of three modules: CADext Acad, CADext Map, and CADext Civil. In this release the three main modules are packed, and they can be installed on Autodesk® AutoCAD® Civil 3D® only. Focus of this first release is drawing crossing utility on profile and cross section views.

The CADext Acad module was developed for AutoCAD® users, and currently includes Layer order based draw order, requested by nearly all AutoCAD users. Changing the draw order of objects one by one is a thing of the past. The draw order can be defined using layers.

CADext Map module is designed for Autodesk® AutoCAD® Map 3D users, and currently includes the Attach attribute data feature. This feature enables creating an object model that does not depend on Map 3D. You can define object classes and their attributes, and then attach them to any AutoCAD object. Descriptive and drawing data can be exported to Microsoft Excel or PDF format using a general export engine. This feature is an excellent tool for attaching descriptive data on utility base maps.

CADext Civil module is designed for Civil 3D users. Currently, it includes Table export and Crossing utilities features. The Crossing utility feature uses the attributes attached to AutoCAD objects, and displays crossing objects on profile and cross section views on one click.

I had been searching for a simple solution to quickly project my polylines to Profile Views. Then I've found this app. It can be used for very simple tasks with ease but it has a lot more in it in the background. I need to dig deeper in it but I augur a promising future for this application. Well, on the other hand it needs some fine-tuning to be more userfriendly.
