This app is great for exporting labels to another drawing and reimporting for referencing a different surface.
The app provides the ability to export surface labels (contour labels, slope labels, and spot elevation labels) to a text file.
The app saves the label's type and associated settings, current style names, and positional coordinates including drag positions.
The app also allows for importing from the text file and recreating the labels in the positions/styles and referencing a different surface.

dear author, please tell us when will you make apply stuyle in batch mode to many surface?
If I override text in a surface point label, will that overridden text transfer to a new file as well?
Hi Art, no, unfortunately in the current release this option is not available. I'll add to list for possible future release improvement depending on if the override text is available in the API.
Hello I wanted to export the text, obtained by the slope surface tag field .... since I think this Import / Export Surface Labels app only exports the location of the text, but not the content.
Hi Erick, this tool is not meant to export the content of the label. If you're wanting to export the content of the label (for spot elevations only), you should use Civil 3D Points, set them on your surface, and then export the points as a CSV/TXT file - assuming you're wanting to export the point elevations. The purpose of this app is to export the labels positional and style settings and reimport them into another drawing and reference another surface - as explained in the descriptions/videos/screenshots, maintaining the dynamic content with the reference surface. I don't know of a way within Civil 3D or 3rd party apps that would export the slope label content text. Feel free to email me at steve@redtransitconsultants.com to discuss what you're trying to do.
Steve, Thanks for the explanation.
Hi Tony, this app is not intended to export the spot elevation Z value. The app is intended to export the position and styles of labels in a drawing. Upon import the app will recreate the labels at the same positions and allow you to assign them to a different surface - inheriting the surface's elevation, maintaining the dynamic aspect of Civil 3D. I think there is a misunderstanding of the app's purpose as it is not useless but actually saves a lot of time in transferring labels from one surface to another.
This app allows us to improve our workflow. Good Job!
Thanks Sean!
