Lattice Generator

Lattice Generator

Mac OS, English

LindenTech
Generate parametric lattice structures. Includes TPMS (Gyroid, Schwarz) and strut types (BCC, Octet). Includes variable density support.

General Usage Instructions

Basic workflow:

1. Prepare Your Model

  • Create or open a design in Autodesk® Fusion®
  • Model a solid body that will contain the lattice structure
  • Save your design before generating complex lattices

2. Launch the Add-In

  • Go to Utilities tab → Add-Ins panel
  • Click Lattice Generator
  • The dialog will open with default settings

3. Select Your Body

  • Click the Body selection box
  • Select a solid body or mesh body from your design
  • **Important:** Only solid bodies support shape conformity (lattice confined to exact shape)
  • Mesh bodies will generate lattice within the bounding box only

4. Choose Lattice Type

  • Select from Lattice Type dropdown (Gyroid, Schwarz Primitive, BCC, Octet Truss, etc.)
  • For TPMS lattices, choose TPMS Type (Sheet or Solid)

5. Configure Basic Parameters

  • Cell Size: Size of individual lattice cells (smaller = finer detail, longer processing)
  • Wall Thickness (TPMS): Thickness of the lattice walls
  • Strut Diameter: (Strut-based): Diameter of connecting struts
  • Resolution: Mesh detail level (0.5mm recommended; smaller = smoother but slower)

6. Generate

  • Click the Generate button
  • Wait for processing to complete (may take several minutes for large/complex lattices)
  • Inspect the preview mesh in your viewport
  • The OK button will enable once preview is generated

7. Finalize or Adjust

  • If satisfied with preview, click OK to create the final mesh body
  • If not satisfied, adjust parameters and click Generate again
  • Click Cancel to discard and exit
