General Usage Instructions
- Open Naya
- Launch Naya directly from within Autodesk® Fusion®.
- Or access Naya at https://naya.studio/ in your browser.
- Create or link a project workspace
- Set up a new project, open an existing one, or use a template.
- Use the project workspace as the central place for all product-related work.
- Connect Fusion to Naya - Users can connect their Fusion account using either of the following options:
- From Apps & Integrations
- Open Apps & Integrations in Naya.
- Select Fusion from the integrations list.
- Sign in and authorise access to the Fusion account
- Connect Fusion from the Naya toolbar
- Open any project in Naya.
- Use the Naya toolbar.
- Click the Fusion option in the toolbar.
- If the user is already connected:
- The Fusion model is created and added to the project.
- If the user is not connected:
- The user is prompted to sign in.
- Authorise access to the Fusion account.
- After authorization:
- A modal is shown in Naya to select the Fusion hub.
- The selected hub is linked to the project.
- From Apps & Integrations
- Add Fusion models
- Create and link Fusion models directly inside the project.
- Upload existing Fusion files to Naya.
- Add other project assets
- Upload or link documents, spreadsheets, presentations, images, videos, and anything else.
- Add links to external tools and resources used by the team.
- Work alongside other tools
- Connect tools such as Google Docs, Excel, Miro, Figma, and file storage drives.
- Reference design inputs, specs, and decisions without leaving the project context.
- Use AI with Fusion data
- Generate sketches or early concepts based on existing Fusion models.
- Create 3D models, renderings, and demo videos from Fusion geometry.
- Generate presentation content using project assets.
- Produce cost estimates and manufacturing notes using Fusion model data.
- Manage project structure
- View work from client, timeline, or milestone perspectives.
- Update project status as work progresses.
- See what is in progress, under review, or approved.
- Request and review feedback
- Share Fusion models, documents, decks, and videos, and more from the workspace.
- Invite internal teammates, clients, executives, or manufacturing partners.
- Stakeholders can view files, leave comments, and provide approvals directly in their browser.
- Track decisions and approvals
- Capture feedback and approvals alongside the related files.
- Keep a record of decisions tied to specific models or project milestones.
- Iterate and continue work
- Make changes in Fusion or other tools as needed.
- Linked assets are automatically synced back into the project workspace.
- Repeat the process through launch.
Commands
Installation/Uninstallation
- Install:
- Download the installer from the Autodesk App Store.
- Right-click on the "Downloads" folder and select "Open in Finder".
- Right-click on the "Naya.pkg" or "Naya.msi" -> "Open With" -> "Installer".
- Uninstall
- You can unload the add-in without uninstalling it by clicking the "Stop" button when the add-in is selected in the list box on the "Add-Ins" tab of the "Scripts and Add-Ins" dialog.
- Unchecking "Run on Startup" causes the add-in not to be loaded in future sessions of Autodesk® Fusion®.
- Navigate to the ./ApplicationsPlugins folder and select the app bundle you want to uninstall.
- Either drag the app bundle to the Trash or right-click and select “Move to Trash”
- Right-click on the Trash Can and select “Empty Trash”
- If you prefer keystrokes, you can also just select the app bundle and then hit Command+Delete to move the app to Trash, then empty the Trash and the app will be removed.
