RESIZER360
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
This software is designed to generate succeeding elements based on data from an Excel file and pre-existing templates. It was primarily crafted for creating furniture fronts, its main function, but it can be used for other applications as well.
For optimal performance, it's best to design templates using user parameters parametrically. Resizer360 maintains a database that holds the locations of templates within the Autodesk® Fusion® directory structure. Initially, the database is empty and we add the directories of interest. We do not individually add templates/elements to the database. Instead, the directory storing the template is added. The software then scans all the directories in the database to find the element named in the Excel file and notifies us if the item isn't found.
Resizer360 can simultaneously generate multiple different elements. The names, quantities, and dimensions of these elements are saved in an Excel file. After loading Excel into Resizer360, the software locates the necessary elements in the previously provided directory structure. Resizer360 only accesses directories that we've added to the database. If everything is done correctly, we will receive information about the quantities and dimensions of the generated elements. Once all elements are generated, the program can load all of them in the quantities specified in Excel. This is convenient for nesting, as there's no need to manually add generated elements to the document - the program handles that for you.
Resizer360 can modify all available user parameters used in a specific template. All that's required is to correctly list their names in the Excel file (case-insensitive).
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use the application:
- The app will appear under the DESIGN workspace in the SOLID panel.
- Click on the CONTENT drop-down list.
- Click on Resizer360 and select the Excel file.
- Click on Resizer360Settings to adjust the available settings.
In the Excel file, the first row should contain user parameter names. The first column must include the names of the items to be processed. Based on this name, the software searches through the previously created database. The second column represents the number of items. These two columns in the Excel file are crucial and their positions cannot be changed. The following columns represent the parameters to be modified. For the program to operate correctly, the parameter names in the first row must match the user parameters used in a specific item. The order and case of letters used in the name are not significant.
