General Usage Instructions
After launching Autodesk® Fusion 360™ you will find the Bommer panel on the Model workspace. You will need to go through a quick registration process, after which you can use Bommer. To register, click the button in the Bommer panel and follow the instructions.
Once registered, to get started with Bommer, you will need a design, and some property definitions. Bommer ships with some common-sense properties already defined, such as:
• Part number and description
• Make/Buy indicator
• A flag to exclude a part from the BOM export
• Vendor part number, price and availability
To use the shipped properties, open your design and click the "Edit bill of materials" or "Edit part properties" button on the Bommer panel. You can also right click on a part in the tree, or in the 3D space, and click "Edit part properties".
If you'd rather declare your own properties first, click on the Bommer panel, click on Settings, and use the table to add and remove properties. After you've finished editing your properties, you can use the "Edit bill of materials" or "Edit part properties" buttons to edit the property values.
To export your bill of materials to Excel or CSV, use the "Export" button on the Bommer panel. You can choose which properties to export as columns in the file and where the exported file should go.
To export your bill of materials for inclusion on a drawing, open a drawing in Fusion 360 and click on the "Export table image" button in the Bommer panel. Choose your properties, select your rows, and format your table, then click OK to export a table image and insert it onto your drawing sheet!
