Gain immediate insights into your design's suitability for Additive Manufacturing with cost indication in a range of materials and potential cost savings through redesign to lightweight your parts.

General Usage Instructions

Part Analysis

With the App open, the analytic feedback is immediately available and refreshed when the part being worked upon is saved.
("Refer Image-3" in the below screenshot section.)
 
Use the drop-down menu next to 'Select Material' to choose different materials and see their indicative prices.
 
It is possible to see monetary values in different currencies (USD, EUR, GBP) by selecting the gear icon next to the 'Indicative AM Price of Current Design'.
 
Select 'View All Prices' to see a breakdown of potential and current indicative pricing before and after a redesign for AM in all available material options
For more details or to obtain an accurate price and to order the part, select "Order Part".

Note that whilst indicative prices are based upon real AM analytics, these are not guaranteed prices, especially for small quantities of lower value parts (less than $10 / €10), where small set-up charges may apply.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. Or, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

Uninstall:
You can unload the add-in without uninstalling it by clicking the "Stop" button when the add-in is selected in the list box on the "Add-Ins" tab of the "Scripts and Add-Ins" dialog.
Unchecking "Run on Startup" causes the add-in not to be loaded in future sessions of Autodesk® Fusion®.
To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button.
Or, you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel/Programs and Features' (Windows 10/11), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.

Additional Information

Features include:
  • Cost reduction potential - estimated percentage by which cost could be brought down through lightweight re-design
  • Material selection - use the drop-down to display results in common additive manufacturing materials
  • Indicative AM price - the indicative cost to produce one of the parts in design using the selected AM material
    • Tip - Change currency using the gear symbol
  • Indicative AM price when redesigned - the estimated indicative cost to produce one part when redesigned with further lightweight
  • View all prices - displays in a new window the indicative prices for all materials for the part
  • Order part - takes you to a help contact form where DiManEx support can help you source your part
