Haas Tooling Add-In

Haas Tooling Add-In

Win64, English

Autodesk Inc.
The Haas Tooling Add-In allows US users to purchase Haas tooling from within Autodesk® Fusion®. If you are outside of the US, you can generate a cart list to provide to your HFO to order.

General Usage Instructions

Launching the Add-In:

The add-in is available under the MANAGE menu in the MANUFACTURE environment, which can be found under the MILLING, TURNING and UTILITIES tabs. To launch the add-in, click the Haas Tooling Add-In icon or select Haas Tooling Add-In in the MANAGE drop-down menu.

Terms and Conditions:

The first time the add-in is launched, you will be prompted to select your country and accept the terms and conditions. Use the drop-down menu to select your country, then review the terms and conditions. After you have read the terms and conditions, you can acknowledge that you have read them by clicking the 'I have read the terms and conditions' check box at the bottom of the window. Then, click Accept or Decline. Please note that the add-in will only be launched if the terms and conditions are accepted.

Document items:

When the add-in is loaded, it will scan the toolpaths in the active document to check for Haas tooling. If any Haas tooling is found, it will be added to the 'Document Items' table, displaying the description and vendor ID for the item.  Haas Tooling items imported from the Haas tool library or user created tooling, which include Haas in the vendor field and a valid Haas product id in the product id field, will be detected by the add-in.

To transfer an item to the cart, you can click the cart icon at the end of the row for that item. Alternatively, you can transfer all items to the cart by clicking the empty cart icon in the top row of the table. When an item is transferred, the cart icon will change to be filled in, indicating that the item is in the cart.

Cart items:

The ‘Cart Items’ table lists the items you would like to purchase from Haas Tooling. If you have transferred document items to the cart, they will appear here. Items in the cart will display the item's description, vendor ID, price (USD) and stock (US only). You can specify the quantity you would like to purchase by changing the value in the 'Quantity' column. An item can be removed by clicking the 'X' icon at the end of the row for the item.

Adding library tools:

In addition to document items, you can add items from the Haas tool library to your cart by clicking the '+' icon, which will open a window that displays the Haas tools currently available in Fusion. Here you can search for tools by product description or ID, or you can use filters to find the tool(s) you are looking for. Once you've found the tool(s) you are looking for, you can use the checkboxes to select them. To add the selected tools to your cart, click the cart icon at the top of the window. To add them to your local tool library, click the tool library icon. The filter allows you to toggle between the selected tools and all tools. The 'X' icon clears all selections, and the 'Clear filters' button resets the filters. The 'Download latest Haas Tooling library to local library' will download a copy of the latest Haas tool library to your local tool libraries. Once you have completed adding tools to your cart and/or library, click 'Close' to close this window and return to the main add-in window.

Proceed to purchase (US only):

If your region supports purchasing via the add-in and your cart is populated with the desired items and quantities, you can click 'Proceed to purchase' which will transfer your cart to the Haas Tooling quick order page in your default browser. Click 'ADD TO CART' on the Quick Order page to add the items to your cart, then complete the checkout process using your Haas account.

Generate cart list (non-US only):

If your region does not support purchasing, you can export your cart to an HTML file, which you can send to your local Haas Tooling vendor. The file will contain the items in your cart (description and ID) along with quantities.

Review terms and conditions:

You can review the terms and conditions at any time. However, doing so will require you to re-select your country, re-acknowledge that you have read the terms and conditions and then accept them. If you have any items in your cart when you click 'Review terms and conditions', you will be prompted that the cart will be emptied.
