After installation, enable the add-in via the 'Scripts and Add-Ins' dialog.

To extract a bill of materials for the current design, simply click the SimpleBOM button on the utility panel (it might be located in the dropdown, in which case it can easily be attached directly to the toolbar).

The SimpleBOM options dialog will present itself at the click of the SimpleBOM toolbar button. Choose whether or not to include components whose visibility is set to hidden. This is very useful when dealing with sub-assemblies where the integral components are irrelevant. The only other option is regarding the formatting of the output.

Clicking the OK button will immediately open a Save-As dialog where the location and name of the CSV file are specified. SimpleBOM will generate a bill of material as soon as the dialog is processed.

Open the newly created file to view the bill of materials. Usually, this entails an import by your spreadsheet editor.

Install:

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store has already installed the app/plug-in.

OR, simply double-click the MSI to install the app.

Uninstall:

You can unload the add-in without uninstalling it by clicking the "Stop" button when the add-in is selected in the list box on the "Add-Ins" tab of the "Scripts and Add-Ins" dialog.

Unchecking "Run on Startup" causes the add-in not to be loaded in future sessions of Autodesk® Fusion 360™.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button.

OR, you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features' (Windows 10/11), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.
