Spherene for Autodesk® Fusion®
Mac OS, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
- Define the shape in which the spherene will be generated (the Envelope) using a solid B-Rep or closed mesh.
- Specify the volume fraction (Density) and Thickness by assigning values to Faces on the Envelope or other Bodies.
- Maybe refine your design by defining closed regions (Boundaries), keep-out zones and voids (Cavities), and more.
- Compute.
For the user manual, see https://documentation.spherene.io/sphereneFUSION/quickstart.
Commands
| Ribbon/Toolbar Icon | Command | Command Description |
|---|---|---|
|
sphe_add_env |
Select Envelope geometry to create a new project. ● Permitted types: solid B-Rep & closed mesh ● "_env" will be added to the body name in the Browser. |
|
sphe_compute |
Adjust settings and start cloud computation. ● DRT (set to desired wall thickness, and use a THICKNESS FIELD to deviate where necessary ● Part Name (housekeeping) ● Max Execution Time ● Create Solid Surface: when unchecked, the Single Surface (sheet geometry) is created instead. Faster, but needs to be thickened for printing. |
|
sphe_compute (lock) |
While your spherene is being computed, the COMPUTE button is locked. Once done, it will revert to the colourful active state. |
|
sphe_add_edit_field |
Assign control data to existing Faces, Bodies or Points. ● Density [0-50%], recommended values are 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16 and 22 ● Surface Bias [±1.00], balance front/back volumes, enlarge or contract volcanoes, decrease stiffness ● Thickness [mm], used to locally deviate from DRT. |
|
sphe_add_boundary |
Add a modifier to define regions where to: ● thicken spherene, close front, back or both labyrinths ● create and control blends and smooth transitions ● use B-Rep surfaces or faces, fully or partially inside of Env. |
|
sphe_add_cavity |
Add a modifier to create a void. ● Specify which labyrinth is to be voided ● Loosely control effect and influence. |
|
sphe_add_detail |
Boolean add or subtract a body/mesh with the Spherene geometries. |
|
sphe_add_dfenv |
Define and generate spherene inside of a separate Envelope, before being trimmed with the actual Envelope. ● Control the outer spherene appearance (Dfenv distinctly larger than Env), and/or ● Ignore details on Env during generation (Dfenv simplified version of Env). |
|
sphe_edit |
Edit attributes of selected or all geometries. |
|
sphe_clear_all |
Clear all Spherene attributes. |
|
sphe_refresh |
Redraw all Spherene attributes. |
|
sphe_help |
Open the help documentation in a browser. |
