Advanced Tool Library
Quickly find where tools from your tool library have been used, and check that the tools in your CAM operations match your libraries.

General Usage Instructions

Tool Validator

  1. Open the file you want to check
  2. Select the Advanced Tool Library From the Manage Panel in Manufacturing
  3. Select the library you want to compare

Tool Indexer

  1. Select Advanced Tool Library From the Manage Panel in Manufacturing
  2. Select the Tool Indexer tab
  3. Set the project you would like to scan
  4. Enter the location to save the database
  5. Enter files per batch is you wish to limit the number of files scanned in one session
  6. Start Scan

Tool Locator

  1. Select Advanced Tool Library From the Manage Panel in Manufacturing
  2. Select the Tool Locator tab
  3. Select the library containing the tool you want to find
  4. Select the tool you want to find
  5. Results will be displayed in the results table

Installation/Uninstallation

Install:

  • Download the installer from the Autodesk App Store.
  • Right-click on the "Downloads" folder and select "Open in Finder".
  • Right-click on the "AdvancedToolLibrary_macos.pkg" -> "Open With" -> "Installer".

 

Uninstall:

  • You can unload the add-in without uninstalling it by clicking the "Stop" button when the add-in is selected in the list box on the "Add-Ins" tab of the "Scripts and Add-Ins" dialog.
  • Unchecking "Run on Startup" causes the add-in not to be loaded in future sessions of Autodesk® Fusion®.
  • Navigate to the ./ApplicationsPlugins folder and select the app bundle you want to uninstall
  • Either drag the app bundle to the Trash or right-click and select “Move to Trash”
  • Right-click on the Trash Can and select “Empty Trash”
  • If you prefer keystrokes, you can also just select the app bundle and then hit Command+Delete to move the app to Trash, then empty the Trash and the app will be removed.
