1. Starting the Command:

• Launch Autodesk® Fusion®
• Navigate to the DESIGN workspace
• Open the CREATE panel
• Click on the "Helical Sketch" icon or search for "Helical Sketch" in the command search 

2. Creating a Basic Helix:

• Select an axis for the helix (can be a linear edge, construction axis, sketch line, cylindrical face, or two points)
• Choose your input type (Pitch & Revolutions, Revolutions & Height, or Pitch & Height)
• Enter diameter, pitch, and revolution values as needed
• Click OK to create the helical sketch 

3. **Advanced Options:

• Handedness: Choose between right-hand or left-hand helix
• Start Point: Offset the starting point along the axis
• Flip Direction: Reverse the helix direction along the axis
• Variable Pitch: Create a helix with changing pitch along its length
• Variable Diameter: Create a helix with changing diameter along its length
• Taper: Create a conical helix with a specified taper angle
• Create Sweep Planes: Generate construction planes for follow-up sweep operations 

4. Using the Generated Helix:

• The resulting sketch contains a spline curve that defines the helical path
• This curve can be used with the Sweep command to create springs, threads, or other helical features
• Metadata is stored on the curve to aid in subsequent operations

Install:

1. Download the installer from the Autodesk App Store.

2. Right-click on the "Downloads" folder and select "Open in Finder".

3. Right-click on the "HelicalSketchGenerator_macos.pkg" -> "Open With" -> "Installer".

Uninstall:

You can unload the add-in without uninstalling it by clicking the "Stop" button when the add-in is selected in the list box on the "Add-Ins" tab of the "Scripts and Add-Ins" dialog.

Unchecking "Run on Startup" causes the add-in not to be loaded in future sessions of Fusion.

- Navigate to the ./ApplicationsPlugins folder and select the app bundle you want to uninstall

- Either drag the app bundle to the Trash or right-click and select “Move to Trash”

- Right-click on the Trash-Can and select “Empty Trash”

- If you prefer keystrokes, you can also just select the app bundle and then hit Command+Delete to move the app to Trash, then empty the Trash and the app will be removed.

if you are trying to make threads under 6mm, the profile height cant equal the pitch. shrink it by 1%.
