1. Launch Estimation AI

• Open Estimation AI by Naya directly from the Autodesk® Fusion® toolbar to open the side panel (you can expand the tool).

• No separate sign-in or authorization is required to begin your analysis.

2. Import Your Design (Required to estimate the current 3D model)

• Click "Import from Fusion". This action automatically syncs your active 3D model, geometry, and metadata with the AI.

Note: This is the only mandatory step required to generate an initial manufacturing estimate from your current Fusion 3D model. However, if you do not click on ‘import from Fusion’ and upload/add any product images or files, you can still generate an estimation report of the product without the 3D model. 

3. Supplement Your Design (Optional)

• You may optionally upload additional files, such as design briefs, sketches, or technical drawings, to the workspace.

• While not required, adding these assets provides the AI with deeper context, leading to more tailored results.

4. Refine/Adjust Production Details (Optional)

• Input your specific project parameters to ground the estimate:

• Order Quantity: Define batch sizes for volume-based pricing.

• Logistics: Set the manufacturing origin and final destination.

• Industry Expertise: Select your category (e.g., Consumer Electronics) to apply specialized cost logic.

Note: If these fields are not refined or adjusted by the user, the AI will use industry-standard defaults to provide a baseline.

5. Ground with Reference Data (Optional)

• For maximum precision, you can manually add known data like supplier quotes or internal labour rates.

Note: If omitted, Naya’s AI will automatically search its proprietary databases to find the most relevant benchmarks for you.

6. Run AI Cost Analysis

• Click "Analyze & Estimate". 

• The system processes your synced Fusion data and any optional inputs to produce a comprehensive manufacturing breakdown.

7. Review and Value Engineer

• Examine the detailed breakdown of materials, labor, and tooling costs.

• Iterative Design: If required, you can make changes to your 3D model in Fusion and click "Rerun Estimate" and view the updated estimation report.

• Sustainability: Review the estimated carbon footprint and CO2 impact of your design choices.

8. Export, Share or Save as project 

• Generate professional PDF reports to share with stakeholders or procurement teams directly from the interface.

• Or directly share the estimation report with anyone.

• You can save your estimation report as a Naya project.

Install:

• Download the installer from the Autodesk App Store.

• Right-click on the "Downloads" folder and select "Open in Finder".

• Right-click on the "Naya_Estimation_AI_(manufacturing_costing)_macos.pkg" -> "Open With" -> "Installer".

Uninstall:

• You can unload the add-in without uninstalling it by clicking the "Stop" button when the add-in is selected in the list box on the "Add-Ins" tab of the "Scripts and Add-Ins" dialog within Fusion.

• Unchecking "Run on Startup" causes the add-in not to be loaded in future sessions of Autodesk Fusion.

• Navigate to the ./ApplicationsPlugins folder and select the app bundle you want to uninstall.

• Either drag the app bundle to the Trash or right-click and select “Move to Trash”

• Right-click on the Trash Can and select “Empty Trash”

• If you prefer keystrokes, you can also just select the app bundle and then hit Command+Delete to move the app to Trash, then empty the Trash, and the app will be removed.
