Description

After installation, go to the toolbar "Create" submenu and choose "Create BOM". A dialog appears which shows provided options to control the CSV output. Click OK and a save file dialog comes up. Name your file and click OK. After creating the file a message box popups with the information that the file has successfully created. Open a suitable app which can handle CSV formatted files. Import the CSV file and the BOM of your design is showing.

There is also an option to generate cut lists for woodworking projects. They can be used in conjunction with a software by Gary Darby to optimize panel use.

    Great add in, realy usefull.

Just one question... Is it possible to get one more column - "Description" of the part ????

If Yes, it will be fantastic app, with 40% more possibilities for woodworkers. Please let us know.

Any way it's great add-in, 5 stars is must ))

Thank you for your reply. There is a description output in CSV-BOM. Under the group "Misc" you can find "Include Description". To enter a description, go to a component and right click. Choose "Properties" and enter a description at the top of the panel. Hope that helps...

  • Useful!

All round good plugin that, frankly, should have been included in Fusion itself.

    Drawbacks found so far:

    - Crashes on export when "decimal point display" set to comma in "Unit and Value display" in preferences (my country uses a comma for decimals)

    - There should be a "depth" option for better handling of sub-assemblies (i.e. when you have components inside components that you wish to exclude from the final bill)

  • Excellent BOM plugin
    Donald Schlicht | janvier 23, 2018 Téléchargement vérifié (Qu'est-ce que c'est?)

This plugin works as expected, simple, fast and accurate. My only comment is that it is European oriented as the delimiters in the exported file are semi-colons. In the US CSV files use commas for the delimiters.

Thank you Donald Schlicht for that review. We are currently working on that CSV issue. And we have included CutList for the woodworkers to get the optimum out of there plates. Also the dimensions are sortable, so the smallest value is always the height. Here, many thanks to Kai ;-) Coming soon!

  • Excellent update

Superb. I'd put in a request to have the ability to separate out the components different dimensions and thats now been put in place and works perfectly. Really helps make Fusion 360 work well for furniture making and required cultists. Thanks

Peter just a quick follow up. How does your admin specify which dimensions it assigns to Length, Width and Thickness? Also is there any way to alter/reorder those? I find it will often assign them incorrectly and I will manually need to change them around in the CSV file. Thanks

  • Echt Klasse / awesome

!! all comonents - with size of component - from the bounding box - in the csv / BOM !! - great Sowas in der Art habe ich gesucht - eine Liste der aller Teile mit Größe - diese kann ich dann als Zuschnittplan nehmen. ( deutlich besser als das BOM was bei "drawings" möglich ist )
