Prerequisites & Import Options

A user can use the plugin, but to utilize exported data, they have the following options:

Option 1. Upload data directly to your own One Click LCA project.

This requires the user to have an appropriate active commercial or trial One Click LCA license and an appropriate project on One Click LCA. For this, ensure you have a private project in One Click LCA before starting the import process. See how to create a project in One Click LCA here. Option 2. Send data to another user to upload to One Click LCA.

This requires the other user to have an appropriate license. See more info on this process here. 

How to use the Autodesk® Inventor® Professional Integration?

1. After installing the One Click LCA integration, open Autodesk® Inventor® Professional. You will see a new tab labeled “One Click LCA” in the top ribbon.
2. Open your Inventor assembly (.iam) file. 
3. Review or assign materials for all parts before exporting.
4. When ready to export, click the “One Click LCA” button to begin export.
5. The plugin will automatically export all components from the assembly based on "Parts Only" bill of materials.
6. The standard import process will be launched. More information about the import process is available in separate articles.

When you download the app or plug-in from the Autodesk App Store, the installer will automatically launch and begin installation. Alternatively, you can manually install it by double-clicking the downloaded installer file and following the on-screen instructions. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. Or, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
