BodyBuilding

BodyBuilding

Win64, English

avTools
The BodyBuilding command is intended for precise orientation of solids, surfaces and work features relative to specified geometric objects in the current part document space.

General Usage Instructions

BodyBuilding’s "Move Body" command opens the dialog that allows the user to select one or several bodies to be moved and two geometry objects that define geometry transformation for the selected bodies.

Click the "Bodies" button to select one or several solids / work surfaces / work features.

Click both "Geometry" buttons to pick the desired geometry objects required to determine the transformation.

Click the "Apply" button to transform bodies.  Click the "Reset" button to restore all the arguments values.

Click the "Direction" button to reverse the plane’s normal directions (Mate to Flush and vise versa).

Use "Offset" textbox to enter a value of the distance by which planar geometry objects 1 and 2 are offset from one another. This value can be negative.

The Geometry 2 type depends on the Geometry 1 type.  In the current version, the following rule is implemented - the Geometry 2 type must be the same geometry type as the Geometry 1.

For example, the following pairs are allowed:

  • work plane to a planar face;
  • сylindrical face to a work axis;
  • vertex to another vertex or a sketch point or a work point;

etc.

Geometry types currently supported are listed below.
