How to Use the C3DT Projects App: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Create Your Template Directory

Start by creating your template directory. You can make multiple templates, each with unique settings to suit different project needs.

Step 2: Add and Customize the IPJ File

Add an IPJ file named "Blanco Project" (ensure the B and P are capitalized). Open Autodesk Inventor to adjust the preset values in the IPJ file to match your requirements. You can:

• Update Appearance and Material Libraries
• Customize Folder Options

Step 3: Set Up Customer Directories

Organize your projects by creating a directory for each customer. This is where new projects will be stored.

Step 4: Configure Paths in C3DT Projects

When opening the app for the first time, define the paths for:

• The Template Directory
• The Customer Directory

Use the directory icon to set the correct paths. Once saved, the app will remember these locations.

Step 5: Create a New Customer Folder (if needed)

Need a directory for a new customer? Click "Create Customer Folder", enter the customer name, and hit "Ok". The folder will be created and added to the customer list.

Step 6: Select Template and Customer

Choose the desired template and customer folder from the list.

Step 7: Name Your Project

Enter the project name in the "Project Name" field. To open the workspace immediately after creation, check the "Open Workspace" box.

Step 8: Create Your Project

Click "Create" to let the app:

• Copy the selected template directory
• Rename the IPJ file
• Store it in the selected customer folder
