WebGL-Publisher Export for Inventor® 2017-2018Win64, English
General Usage Instructions
A structure view in the web page enables the user to switch components which are defined in the Autodesk Inventor model on and off. To publish Autodesk Inventor models to the Web the following steps must be performed:
- A model must be opened in Autodesk Inventor.
- The Autodesk Inventor Save Copy As command must be clicked from the main menu.
- The target directory where the export should be written to must be defined.
- Additional options for the generated html page can be set in the export dialog.
The export includes:
- 3D Solid geometry
- Assemblies and components
- Assembly structure
The export itself creates a WebGL-Publisher Model wpm file (wpm) and an html file which displays the exported model.
The generated html file can then be opened directly in a WebGL enabled browser.
To publish the model in the Web, the content of the target directory must just be copied to a web site
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk Inventor Exchange Store has already installed the app/plug-in.
You can unload the plugin without uninstalling it by unchecking the "Loaded/Unloaded" check box associated with the plugin in the Autodesk Inventor Add-In Manager.
You may have to restart Autodesk Inventor to completely unload the application.
To remove the plugin completely, Right Mouse Button click and uninstall the application using the Exchange App Manager tool, located on the Ribbons Tools tab > Options Panel. OR, you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features' (Windows 7/8/8.1/10), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.
Please find more information at: "http://www.webgl-publisher.com". A demo video can be found at "http://youtu.be/K2qCbIyWiIw" and Browser configuration at: "http://www.webgl-publisher.com/BrowserConfigEn.html".
The installation includes a help file (WgpInventorExportEn.chm) with additional information.
Local file access: If you open the generated html file from the local file system, you may receive Security Errors (e.g. (NETWORK_ERR: XMLHttpRequest Exception 101).
The reason for that is, that some browsers do not allow the access of local textures or model files. To solve this issue, you can load the html page from a http:// URL instead of a file:// URL or you can configure your browser for local file access.
For Google Chrome you have to start Chrome with the following parameter: ...\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe -allow-file-access-from-files This setting allows the loading of local texture and model files.
