A. AutoSave Utility Configuration: 

1. Document Save Options: Choose between saving the current document or all open documents in Autodesk® Inventor®. 

2. Save Timer: Set the save interval.  Options include: - Minutes: Set a timer for 1 minute or more. Hours: Set a timer for hourly intervals. 

3. Save Location: Select the location where documents will be saved. 

Custom Folder: Specify a custom folder for saving documents, such as an "Autosave" folder within your project directory. 

Document Location: Use the document's original location for saving. 

4. Version To Keep: -Choose the number of versions to keep for Autosaved document in Inventor. 

5. Click "OK" to start the timer. Documents will be saved according to the specified settings. 

B. AutoSave Files:

1.  Autosave files are stored in the specified location with an automatically generated autosave folder.  

2. The files are saved in the format: - filename.version.bak.extension 

C. Modifying Timer Settngs:

To change the timer settings or disable the timer: 

1. Access the AutoSave Add-in through the "Custom" tab. 

2. Adjust the settings as needed. 

3. Click "OK" to apply the changes. 

By following these steps, you can ensure that your Inventor documents are consistently saved, reducing the risk of data loss and improving workflow efficiency. 

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plugin from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plugin. Or, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

You can unload the plugin without uninstalling it by unchecking the "Loaded/Unloaded" checkbox associated with the plugin in the Inventor Add-In Manager. You may have to restart Inventor to completely unload the application.

To uninstall this plugin, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. Or, you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel/Programs and Features' (Windows 10/11), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.
