General Usage Instructions
Once installed, the Batch SpellChecker add-in will create a new button in the Add-Ins tab of the Inventor.
When this button is clicked, the Batch SpellChecker add-in will bring up the Batch SpellChecker dialog.
Main features of Batch SpellChecker
§ Search selected drawing files in a folder or search entire folder.
§ Start spell checking on currently opened drawings.
§ Correct spellings in user-entered notes, text in sketch and leader text quickly and easily.
§ Apply corrections directly to the drawing files choosing either to overwrite or to make a copy.
§ Uses Microsoft© Office© components and the familiar Word spelling checker.
§ Adds custom words in dictionary to include frequently used technical terms.
§ Generate file-wise report of spelling corrections made.
Running Batch SpellChecker
§ In the Batch SpellChecker dialog you can select multiple files in a folder to spell check or choose to have all files in that folder selected.
§ If drawing is open in Inventor session, you cannot select additional files by using Browse button. You can spell check currently open drawings.
§ You can review or change other options using the Settings button.
§ The Corrected File Options in the Settings dialog lets you select whether to overwrite the original drawing file with the corrected version by checking the Overwrite corrected file check box. You can also have option Save corrected file at a specific location by picking a location. If you do not select the Save corrected file at specific location checkbox, then the corrected file is written to the same folder as the original file. You can also select to add a specific prefix or suffix to all modified files by using the Add prefix or Add suffix check boxes.
§ The Report File Options in the Settings dialog lets you choose location for the report file generated by the Batch SpellChecker.
§ Once the files to spell check are selected, these are listed in the expanded window pane. Now you can access the Start Spell Check button. When you click on the Start Spell Check button it starts batch process. You can abort this process at any time by clicking on the Abort Spell Check button.
Batch SpellChecker Results
§ Once the operation of batch spellchecker is completed, the Notes changed field in the expanded window pane of the Batch SpellChecker dialog lists number of notes changed for each drawing.
§ The report file is also stored at the location described in the Settings of Batch SpellChecker: The report file contains data related to what spellings were corrected and in which files.
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.
You can unload the plugin without uninstalling it by unchecking the "Loaded/Unloaded" check box associated with the plugin in the Autodesk® Inventor® Add-In Manager. You may have to restart Inventor to completely unload the application.
To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel/Programs and Features' (Windows 7/8/8.1/10), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.
Microsoft Office Word: the Batch SpellChecker uses Microsoft Office components and the familiar Word spelling checker.
