The Autodesk® Inventor® Design Checker is a productivity solution used to give the designer insight into the adherence of company or customer standards for the product being designed. Live Checking gives instant feedback to the user, as well as ensure a high level of quality for the entire design process.
Users can use pre-defined checks or define custom checks with iLogic scripts to perform design checking. Executing the on-demand checking will update the design checker results, or enabling the live-checking will enable users to get the real-time feedback from the design checker during design process. The Design Checker Results Tree Browser allows users to interactively edit the objects with failed checks, and a Design Checker Results Report can show all the passed and failed check results, and allow users to export the report to excel, word or pdf, or print the report.
Note: Please refer to the Installation/Uninstallation to make sure you have the Microsoft ReportViewer 2010 also installed for this plugin.
This app is really cool! Can't believe I didn't hear about it until only a little while ago.
I would like to ask you add the ability to right click in the menu and "Expand All" and "Collapse All"--or even all Failed Errors expanded by default.

1. 该插件是否有中文版？没有的话请尽快出中文版。 2. 在Inventor中文版中使用的时候，双击指示器（Indicator）切换浏览器的时候会报错，估计是找不到英文版的Model浏览器的原因？
This should be a part of the Inventor Standard Installation! It is just a MUST if you are working with a lot of engineers and drafters
We use this on the new designs. It keeps the basic modelstandards throughout the design phase. One question for the components that have not initially been designed with the Design Checker: Is it possible to have the Design Checker iterate through an entire assembly (assembly prior to the implementation of the Design Checker) and give the checker results for the assembly components? The only result that we get for these assemblies is "No Design Checter Results". Then we need to open each individual part in the assembly to run the Check.
Thanks Amy I have contacted Auotdesk and they were not aware of this. According to Autodesk this will be implemented as an enhancement in the future releases.
My company both loves and hate Design Checker. We love it because we can now easily find problems in our models before they can cause problems. We also hate it because we can no longer ignore the problems we have in our models since Design Checker now finds them for us. This program is a must in you have a number of engineers/drafters who are working together and sharing parts.
We are using Design Checker with about 10 mechanical users. It's really helping to up our level of consistency. Still has some quirks and could use some additions but is highly beneficial.
After fixing some small issues with help from autodesk I have to say..this is an awesome start of a much needed app. Just keep period as decimal symbol and it works perfectly.
