Insert Station (Chainage) on Attributes and Texts
Description
This app inserts station values into attributes and texts by selecting a polyline or Autodesk® Civil 3D® alignment as a reference. The station value inserted corresponds to the station at the nearest point on the alignment or polyline to the block or text insertion point. You can select as many blocks or texts as needed. The objects allowed are blocks, MTexts, and Texts. A polyline or a Civil 3D alignment can be selected as a reference axis to extract the station values.
Your preferences can be set in a dialog box that appears after selecting the objects and alignment. If the selected objects are blocks, choose the attribute to fill with the station value from a list. If they are texts, the list will be empty, and the station value will overwrite the existing text values.
In the dialog box, you can also set the station prefix, station index increment, starting station, and precision. If you select a Civil 3D alignment as the reference axis, the station index and starting station will automatically be filled as alignment properties.
After setting all your preferences, press OK, and the station values will be inserted into the selected objects.
