Animation Manager – is a powerful script for organizing and rendering animations in Autodesk® Maya®.

General Usage Instructions

Organization of animations

Create an unlimited number of animations in one scene

Animation Manager creates an animation database. It stores the name of the animation, frame range and the name of the desired camera for visualization. All information is stored directly in the scene!

 

Quickly switch between animations

Click "Set", and the range of the Timeline will be changed according to the selected animation. 

 

Render animations

Visualize animations in one click

Mark the appropriate animation and press "Render". Animation Manager will start rendering in the background. The status of the process can be seen in the script or in the status bar Maya. When the render is complete, you can quickly jump to the rendered images by clicking a folder icon "Show Render Folder". If desired, the script can keep a log file that includes the name and duration of operations performed.

 

Flexible batch render

The generated batch render file can be changed to suit your personal requirements: Batch File -> Edit Batch File. Also, your script can be edited to include a few lines of code to be executed after completion of rendering. As an example: Growl notifications or built-in voice notifications.

 

Multilayer rendering

Animation Manager is easy to cope with the tasks of the multi-layer render. Check "Layers" and specify the necessary layers to render. 

 

Create Flash movies

Create an easy to view Flash movies

Turn "Create Preview" on and at the end of the render, the script will bring selected animations to Adobe Flash. 

  

Sort and organize animations in videos

If you want to build only certain animation or create a sequence of animation check "Organize Animations" and specify the animation sequences.You can play any animation in reverse mode - mark the checkbox "Reverse frame order".

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this plug-in from Autodesk App Store has already installed the plug-in.

Windows only: To uninstall this plug-in, Simply rerun the installer by downloading it again from Autodesk App Store, and select the 'Uninstall' button, or you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features, just as you would uninstall any other application from your system. The panel on the Plug-ins tab will not be removed until Maya is restarted.

Linux and OSX: To uninstall this plug-in, simply delete the module directory from your system. The panel on the Plug-ins tab will not be removed until Maya is restarted.
