INTELSYS Integration with SAP for Autodesk® Navisworks® provides an end-to-end solution for design, planning and construction execution.

General Usage Instructions

INTELSYS Integration with SAP for Navisworks provides an end-to-end solution for design, planning and construction execution. Before using the INTELSYS Integration with SAP for Navisworks, make sure you are using the "11 Jay St - 2015" model that has been included with the solution.

To start integrating Navisworks with SAP, you have to open the SAP tab and log in with your credentials. A user account has been already created for you, so all you have to do is use the "Connect" command to log in.

Before validating families against the materials in SAP, uploading material takeoff to SAP and transferring BOM, you have to import the WBS structure of a project from SAP. For that you can use the "Import WBS from SAP" command.

After importing the WBS structure of a project, you can visualize the project using the built-in time liner functionality within Navisworks.

The "Check Family Types" command enables you to choose a project layer and validate the families against the materials in SAP. After the families have been validated, you can display SAP material statuses using the "Display Family Type Statuses" command.

To attach family types to project WBS structure, item catalog and timeline tasks, you can use the "Attach Family Types to WBS" command. You can attach families individually or use the "Attach all" functionality to match the families to WBS structure elements automatically.

To send a material takeoff to SAP, use the "Send Takeoff to SAP" command where you can choose a takeoff group, name the takeoff and define the usage type of the takeoff. After the parameters have been defined, the takeoff can be sent to SAP or exported to an Excel spreadsheet.

A BOM can be transferred in SAP by using the "Transfer BOM in SAP" command. You can search for an existing takeoff in SAP and transfer the takeoff materials into a WBS structure.

The configuration of the plugin settings can be done with the "Configure" command.

Additional Information

Known Issues

The INTELSYS Integration with SAP for Navisworks is dependent on the "11 Jay St - 2015" model that has been included with the solution. A specific model is used for demo purposes as the materials of the model have already been uploaded to SAP and can be used with a pre-defined project in Navisworks.
