Navisworks Utility Pro

This application is integrated with the WA Subscription system. Users are required to authenticate before accessing the tool. The authentication remains valid for the same day, and users must complete the authentication process once each day upon their first launch
Flow (Sequence of Steps)
- The user has selected Model Items or defined a Box Section of the model.
- The user selects the Split Models tab from the UtilitiesPro UI.
- The user selects Active View or Active Selection from the Selection combo box.
- The user defines the name of the .NWC file to save the subset of model items to by entering the path and name in the File Name text box. This can be aided by activating an Open File Dialog by using the Browse (…) button.
- The user clicks the Save NWC button
- The user waits for the Command Window to indicate that the new .NWC file has been saved.

Installation/Uninstallation
System Requirements:
- Operating System: 64-bit Microsoft Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Processor: CPU with 3.0 GHz or faster processor
- RAM: 2 GB (minimum)
- Disk Space: 70 MB free disk space for installation
- .NET Version:
- 4.7.2 for Autodesk® Navisworks® 2021, 2022
- 4.8 for Navisworks 2023, 2024
Before You Begin
- Close any open Navisworks sessions.
- Ensure you have administrator privileges on the target machine.
- Download the Utilities Pro MSI installer file.
Installation Instructions:
- Double-click the downloaded MSI file (UtilitiesPro.msi).
- Review the License Agreement: Carefully read the license agreement. If you agree to the terms, select "I accept the terms in the license agreement" and click "Next".
- Installation Progress: A progress bar will indicate the installation status.
- Completion: Once the installation is complete, a completion message will be displayed. Click “Finish”.

Bulk Copying User Data Based on Autodesk® AutoCAD® Class:
Assign properties (like engineering discipline) to multiple model elements in bulk by leveraging their AutoCAD class.
Steps:
- Create a user data classification property category:
- One for piping
- One for equipment
- One for structural items
- Assign a relevant discipline property to each of the above categories.
- Select items using their AutoCAD class.
- Use the copy classification properties tool to apply the discipline property to all selected items.
Example: Select all piping items and assign them to the "Piping" discipline.

Exporting Part of a Navisworks Model:
You can export a portion of a Navisworks model into a separate file. This is useful for breaking down large models into smaller, more manageable parts—ideal for mobile device usage.
Steps:
- Select the model items you want to export.
- Export the selected items using the plugin's export functionality.
- The resulting model will:
- Retain the original item properties.
- Maintain the selection tree, but only for the exported items.
