Prerequisites:

Download and Install Navisworks Manage 2023 and the “Data Exchange -Navisworks Connector” from Autodesk's site. You must have an Autodesk Construction Cloud® (ACC) license. Ensure you have the required permissions for creating and loading Data Exchange. Your Account Administrator should add you to at least one of the projects on ACC.

Installation:

Double-click the Data Exchange-Navisworks Connector installer package.

Follow the prompts, accept the agreement, choose the install location, and confirm the installation.

If installation doesn't work, uninstall previous versions, close Civil3D during installation, and follow the steps again.

Uninstallation:

Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

Select “Data Exchange -Navisworks Connector" and click Uninstall.

Confirm and click OK after successful uninstallation.

Load a Data Exchange:

Open Navisworks, click on the Data Exchange Ribbon Button.

Sign in with ACC account credentials.

Click Load Data Exchanges, select the Data Exchange, and click Load.

Adjust Parameters as needed during the loading process.

When loading is complete, the “Download complete” message will appear.

Unload a Data Exchange:

Select the Data Exchange from the list.

Click on Unload Exchange from the Data Exchange’s menu.

Confirm the action to unload the Data Exchange.

Manage Data Exchanges:

View Data Exchange on the Web: Go to the Data Exchange action menu and click on View on Web.

Select Elements of Data Exchange: Select the Data Exchange and click on Select Elements from the Data Exchange’s action menu.

Save Document As .nwd: Choose the Save As option and save the document as .nwd.

View Data Exchange Logs:

Go to “C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Roaming\Navisworks-Connector\Logs” to view log files for troubleshooting.
