  • Why just for Revit?
    Salvador Aliaga | October 16, 2023

IFC is used also for engineering projects, I use Plant 3D, We pay for a licence and still can't export in IFC! We lost all the data attached in the native file, this is so unexplicable! All the softwares od autodesk should be allowed to export and import IFC!!!

  • It Works!!!

    Thank you.

  • Base quantities issues
Anna Lucia Uribe | June 13, 2022 Verified Download (What's this?)

If I remember correctly, IFC Ex3 exports allowed to export the length and dimensions of ducts/pipes/cable trays. From what I can see that is not exporting anymore with the base quantities option. Is this normal ?

  • Door openings not showing correctly
    Luis Santos | January 18, 2022

In the IFCs I am getting with this plugin I do not get correct door openings.  The same model exported to IFC from Revit 2022 has correct door openings. Please see this post, including test files: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/door-opening-missing-in-the-ifc-generated-from-revit-2021/td-p/10884742

It is part of the Autodesk Desktop up for Revit 2022 and 2023 - you don't need to come to the App Store to look for updates.

Please contact revit.apps@autodesk.com if you are having issues getting IFC export to work. Often when you see empty IFC files, it is because your export options table is either set to everything "Not exported" or to a different language. To fix this, find your export layers file on disk, delete it, and recreate it by pressing the "Standard" button on the dialog. At that point, your IFCs should show up. Try that, and if it doesn't work, email us.

    Renan Dias | November 12, 2020

It solved when I deleted the file from the disk, but only after I purge the file. Thank you!
