With Robot-AdvanceSteel Link, you can export a Robot structural model using the smlx format. You can then import the smlx file in Advance Steel in order to detail steel connections and automatically generate fabrication documents. From Robot, you can export values of internal forces with the model to the smlx file. After importing the file to Advance Steel, you can use these values to perform code checking of connections. 

Conversely, you can export a model from Advance Steel in order to perform structural analysis and code checking in Robot. 

You can also track changes in the same model in both applications using the synchronization feature.

Download the Robot-AdvanceSteel Link 2018 installer from the Autodesk App Store website and run the .msi file to install the application. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the add-in.

To uninstall Robot-AdvanceSteel Link 2018, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer by downloading it again from Autodesk Exchange Apps, and select the 'Uninstall' button. Or you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features' (Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10 ) or Add/Remove Programs, just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.
