ExtrudeLines [2025]

Win64, English

Stéphane KAPETANOVIC
Create walls from bars, superbars, lines, polylines and contours including arcs and fillets.

General Usage Instructions

Extrusion selection is now performed by choosing a method (projection direction from the start, i.e., a vector) and a way to obtain it (either distance from the base or a defined projection plane).

Start ExtrudeLines.

Select at least a node, a bar, a superbar, a line or polyline, or a contour.

Choose a default section and/or a thickness by clicking on the list of the labels dialog box

Set directions

  • Arbitrary vector
  • Along lines (bar or line)
  • Along local or global axes
  • Normal to plane

Set a way

  • Distance
  • Object
  • Three nodes
  • Structural axes

Set additional section at each

  • Storey Levels
  • Grid Levels
  • Grid planes (ALL, X, Y, Z, XY, XZ, YZ)
  • Object planes

Set Options

  • Remove source objects
  • Enable nodes
  • Enable FEs
  • Enable Openings
  • Bars as shells

Then click OK.

The program will create the surfaces and columns and diffuse them gradually.

Depending on the number of items to be created, a checkbox appears, allowing you to enable real-time refresh. By setting a refresh interval, you can track progress directly in the view while continuing to customize the display.

Commands

Installation/Uninstallation

This software is provided as a portable application, meaning it requires no installation to run and no uninstallation to remove.

Simply download and extract the ExtrudeLines_(2025).zip file, then launch the executable.

To remove the program, delete its files or the entire directory if it contains only this software. You may also delete any user-created shortcuts.

A key advantage of this approach is the absence of entries in the Windows Registry or system components, ensuring a clean and trace-free usage in the workplace.

ExtrudeLines does not store user data and does not require version-specific restoration. While keeping older versions is not necessary, it may be useful when working with legacy models.

Please note that administrator rights are required to use the program unless a qualified administrator has installed and authorized it on your system.

Additional Information

The local object system (OCS) option works with bars, arcs, flat polylines and contours; for other objects the global system (GCS) is used.
