Model Health Dashboard
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
To use Model Health, start by downloading and installing the tool. Follow the installer wizard to activate the Trial.
Once installed, open Revit and navigate to the "Add-ins" tab, where you will find the Model Health button. Click this button to launch the tool. The Model Health Dashboard will open, displaying key features such as performance monitoring, error detection, model clean-up, and collaboration tools.
To monitor the performance of your Revit model, click on the “Performance” tab. This tool automatically tracks important metrics like file size, model complexity, and system responsiveness, providing real-time insights into your model’s health. You can also use the “Error Detection” tab to scan for issues such as warnings, errors, and broken links in the model. Each detected issue is listed with detailed information and recommendations for resolving them.
For model optimization, navigate to the “Clean-Up” section. This tool helps remove unused families and components, simplify geometry, and reduce the overall file size. The “Workset and Collaboration” tools under the "Collaboration" tab help manage worksets and optimize visibility settings, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams.
Additionally, the tool features a "Health Report" that generates a summary of your model’s health, including performance metrics and error resolutions. This report can be exported for review or shared with team members. The Model Health tool automatically checks the model for adherence to project and industry standards, providing suggestions to ensure consistency with templates, naming conventions, and family standards.
Once all checks and optimizations are complete, save your model as usual. You can exit the tool at any time by clicking the "Exit" button, and all changes will be applied automatically. Be sure to back up your Revit model before making significant changes to avoid potential data loss.
