SH_Tools is an add-in for Autodesk® Revit® that enhances productivity. It features SynCad and OffsetMax, which streamline architectural design processes. Integrates seamlessly with Revit.

General Usage Instructions

SynCad:

  1. Organize your Autodesk® AutoCAD® floor plan .dwg file by layer names.
  2. Prefix layer names with Revit Category names ("Walls_", "Windows_", "Beams_", "Columns_", "Doors_")
  3. Link your AutoCAD floor plan .dwg file to Revit.
  4. Under the "SH_Tools" tab, you will find SynCad and OffsetMax panels with buttons named the same as their host panels (i.e SynCad and OffsetMax)
  5. Click on the SynCad button to open the SynCad tool's UI.
  6. On the SynCad UI click the "Link" button and then select your linked .dwg floor plan file. The name of your file will be shown next to the Link button.
  7. From the drop down menu next to the file name select the base level. A button with the plus sign on it will appear - the AddLayer button.
  8. Click on the AddLayer button to add a layer to the stage. Before a layer can be created it has to be set up fully.
  9. To set up a layer, fully select and set its properties from the drop-down menus given under "Category", "Layer" and "Type".
  10. Once a layer is set up, the "Create Revit Elements" button will show up. Click on it to create the layer you just set up or keep adding layers by clicking the AddLayer button, then set them all and create them all at once.
