
ADA Compliance Checker
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
1. Open your project in Autodesk Revit.
2. Navigate to the "Add-Ins" tab in the Revit ribbon.
3. Locate and click on the "ADA Compliance Checker" to launch the add-in.
4. In the ADA Compliance Checker window, select the ADA standards and level you wish to check against.
5. Choose the categories of elements to include in the check (e.g., Doors, Ramps, Toilets).
6. Select a single or all levels to run the checker on.
7. Click the "Run Compliance Check" button.
8. Review the results in the table below, which will display any elements that do not meet the selected ADA standards.
9. Use the "Actions" column to zoom to the element in question or view more details about the compliance issue.
10. Use the "Configure Name Mapping" functionality to add additional keywords to search for ADA checks, or exclude keywords. Save and reload configuration files.

Installation/Uninstallation
Installation:
1. Download the ADA Compliance Checker add-in from the Autodesk App Store.
2. Double-click the downloaded installer file to begin the installation process.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
4. Restart Autodesk Revit. The Compliance Checker (dodda.ai Tile) should now be available under the "Add-Ins" tab.
Uninstallation:
1. Close Autodesk Revit.
2. Open the Control Panel on your computer.
3. Go to "Programs" and then "Programs and Features".
4. Locate "ADA Compliance Checker" in the list of installed programs.
5. Select "ADA Compliance Checker" and click "Uninstall".
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
Additional Information
If you encounter a webview error on launch, please install WebView2 Runtime using Evergreen Bootstrapper from https://developer.microsoft.com/en-in/microsoft-edge/webview2
Known Issues
Toilets:
- For accurate checks, the toilet must be designed as a room. Otherwise mirror will not be checked for ADA compliance
- For the ADA maneuvering check, a toilet seat must have a grab bar(s) near it
- The toilet seat must be categorized as a Plumbing Fixture, and must contain the word “toilet” in its name or its family name
- Mirror must be designed as a Specialty Equipment and must contain the word “mirror” in its name or family name
Doors
- Door containing these keywords in the name for family name will not be considered "balcony", "mechanical", "closet", "storage"
- For accurate checking of operable parts ( like door knob ), Strike Height property must be present in the door properties
Ramps:
- Only Revit-generated ramps are supported. Ramps loaded as ga eneric family will not be considered.
