Create Mound

This command will help to create a mound or pond on toposurface. To use this command, you need to create model lines/detail lines to represent the top path and the base boundary of the mound/pond. We recommend creating a separate view to create detail lines so that you can change/update the mound later.

The instruction video can be found at https://youtu.be/wTQqwSansc0

  • Run the command, then select a toposurface.
  • Select an elevation base type to calculate the elevation
  • Click Add mound button to create a new mound
  • Select the Top path and Base extent of the mound
  • Click on the gear button to change the shape of the mound, by altering the curvature at the top and base of the mound
  • Specify the distance between generated points, more points will result in a smoother surface but may be heavier.
  • When updating the mound, please remember to enable the “Queue for generating points” option.
  • Click OK to generate/update the mounds
