Link IFC
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
The purpose of the tool is to Link an IFC to an accurate geometric location in Revit. The most relevant points are the Base Point, the Survey Point, and the internal origin. To achieve that results follow the steps described under.
Linking an IFC file using the Link IFC application for Revit:
Open the program by clicking on the Link IFC button in the archi toolbar.
Click on the Browse Button, select an IFC and press the Open button.
Once loaded, the properties of the IFC, including the schema version will be loaded on the left side of the window.
Now it is time to define the settings to import the loaded IFC. Start by choosing the Revit point where the IFC shall be positioned. Here you can choose between the Revit Basepoint, Survey Point, or Internal origin.
Finally, click the button Link IFC to start the linking in Revit. After a few seconds, depending on the complexity of the IFC data, the IFC will be loaded into your project.
After the operation is completed you can open the 3D view, turn on the points (Base Point, Survey Point, or internal origin) where you made the link in the Site Category, and confirm that the files are correctly linked.
