Crosswalk by CSI
The crosswalk add-in allows the users to look up numbers, titles and crosswalks between different CSI Standards such as MasterFormat, UniFormat, and OmniClass directly.

General Usage Instructions

In the crosswalk add-in, we just have to enter a title or number and search either the Crosswalk Lookup, MasterFormat, OmniClass, or UniFormat tabs to get started.

This crosswalk add-in will expire after a 14-day trial period. To continue to use this add-in, visit the https://www.crosswalk.biz website to obtain a license that will allow you to use the Crosswalk add-in even after the trial period is over.

To Authorize:

  • Click one of the buttons which is displayed in the crosswalk tab
  • Locate the Auth key input by clicking on the “Authorization” hyperlink to toggle visibility
  • Enter the authorization key and click update
  • You can now continue to use the add-in

 

Search Crosswalk: To translate a specific number or title, use Crosswalk lookup to crosswalk between standards or older versions of the standards.

  • Click the “Crosswalk Lookup” button in the Crosswalk tab
  • Enter a search term such as “09 30 39”
  • The results will be displayed in the right pane

 

Search MasterFormat:

  • Click the “Search MasterFormat” button in the Crosswalk tab
  • Enter a search term such as “Brick”
  • The results will be displayed in the right pane

 

Search OmniClass:

  • Click the “Search OmniClass” button in the Crosswalk tab
  • Enter a search term such as “Restroom”
  • The results will be displayed in the right pane

 

Search UniFormat:

  • Click the “Search UniFormat” button in the Crosswalk tab
  • Enter a search term such as “Branch Wiring”
  • The results will be displayed in the right pane

Installation/Uninstallation

Installation: The add-in for Autodesk® Revit® is installed directly within the Revit software. After downloading and launching the installer, follow these steps: Close Revit if it is currently running. Double-click the installer file to initiate the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the installer. Once the installation is complete, launch Revit.

To uninstall: Close Revit if it is currently running. Open the "Control Panel" on your computer. Navigate to "Programs" or "Programs and Features" (Windows 10/11). Locate the add-in in the list of installed programs. Select the add-in and click "Uninstall". Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
