The plugin only works in conjunction with the P&ID Connector Exporter plugin for Autodesk® AutoCAD® or Autodesk® AutoCAD Plant 3D™ (both are also available in the Autodesk App Store).

The P&ID Connector - Importer allows users to load the previously exported JSON files and connect the P&ID/AutoCAD data to Revit properties.

• After installation, you will see a new tab called “P&ID Connector”, which contains three new buttons.

• The “Import P&ID ” button opens the P&ID Importer dialog.

  • The “.json file load...” button is located at the bottom of this dialog. You can use this to import the previously exported .json file.

  • After the import, the integrated viewer opens, in which you can view the imported elements in 2D. All elements are also displayed in a list.

  • If you select one of the 2D objects, you can link it to a 3D object in Revit using the “Assign properties” button.

  • The colors used in the viewer can be adjusted as desired using the gear icon in the top left corner.

• Use the “Assign classes” button to open the dialog for assigning the (company-specific) parameters.

• The “Info” button displays general information about the plugin.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. Make sure that the Autodesk product is completely closed when running the installer.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
