Go to "theptech.comApps" Ribbon tab ⇒ "XYZ Coordinate” panel ⇒ "Add Coordinate" to start the command.

Clicking this button starts the command and launches the "XYZ Coordinate" dialog form.

Under the "Category Selection" list, select and click OK.

Upon running, the App will add necessarily shared parameters to each element in the selection list, followed by transferring the coordinate data of that element to its parameters, which will then schedule tags to be placed. However, due to the Revit family categories constraint, this app can only work with some categories like Doors, Windows, Columns, Electrical Fixtures, Furniture, Room, Lighting Fixtures, etc.

Each time when updating the location of the objects re-run the app to get the updated coordinate to the parameter file. To maintain a record of the update the coordinate app will populate a First Coordinate updated date with time and last updated date and time for your reference.

Add shared parameters named “X_Coordinate”, “Y_Coordinate” and “Z_Coordinate” to hold the X, Y, and Z values and “Easting_Coordinate” and “Northing_Coordinate” to hold the easting and northing values and associate them with your selected categories.

In the case of nested objects like piles with a pile cap, each nested object will be populated with X, Y, and Z coordinates.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

By running the app it will add a shared parameter to the family and transfer the coordinates to the shared parameter test file. The coordinates can then be scheduled. Each time you update the location you have to rerun the app to get the updated coordinate.
