Create MEP Spaces from Linked Rooms

This application creates MEP Spaces from the selected rooms in a Link instance. The Spaces will be Named and Numbered to match the rooms when created.

General Usage Instructions

  1. Link an Autodesk® Revit® Model containing Rooms.
  2. Verify that the current model and the Link model have matching level Names.
  3. Run the command from the Torsion Tools panel on the add-ins tab.
  4. Select the Revit Link instance you want to select Rooms from.
  5. Select the Rooms you want to create Spaces from.
  6. Select Create to create Spaces in the same location with the same Name and Number.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in.

 

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Additional Information

Known Issues

If two or more Revit Link instances have the same name, the application will only display the first one for selection after alerting the user that multiple instances have the same name.
