  Phase 1: Installation & MCP Setup

  1. Launch Revit after installation. The MLABS ribbon tab will automatically appear.

  2. The built-in MCP server ("mlabs-mep-mcp") starts in the background using standard stdio transport.

  3. Configure your external AI client (e.g., Claude Desktop or Cursor) to link with the MLABS MCP server executable to allow natural language model control.

   

  Phase 2: High-Speed Ribbon Modeling & Routing

  1. Open the dockable Family Browser to drag and drop MEP components directly into your active view.

  2. Use "Auto Route" or "Branch Connect" to bridge open connectors automatically.

  3. If obstacles block your path, use "Cycle Route" or specify 3D detour waypoints to adjust routing paths instantly.

   

  Phase 3: AI-Driven Workflows via MCP

  1. Prompt your AI Assistant (e.g., "Find all open connectors in the active view and isolate them").

  2. Ask your AI to perform automated tasks: "Detect clashes between pipes and structural walls, place sleeves at collisions, and highlight them in 3D."

  3. Instruct the AI agent to manage detailing: "Tag all untagged ductwork and adjust leader lines to be perpendicular to ducts."

   

  Phase 4: Detailing & Documentation

  1. Run "Click-to-Dim" to generate dimensions across entire pipe/duct runs.

  2. Use "Merge Dims" to consolidate individual dimension segments.

  3. Clean up cluttered tags using "Align Tags", "Straighten Leaders", and "Perpendicular Tags" for clear construction drawings.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system
