Drawing Central for Autodesk® Revit®Win64, English
General Usage Instructions
This application is most useful during the creation and updating of project data in drawing title blocks.
You must open a drawing document before the application will load and a menu button becomes visible.
First-time users will really benefit from using the example drawings as saved to %UserProfile%\Drawing Central.
A properly configured drawing is ready to go. Click the Drawing Central icon to open the main dialog box.
Click 'Open Register' to call up the configured drawing register and add new drawing data or revisions.
Click 'Update Sheets' to index through all drawing sheets and implement all your latest project changes.
You also have access to a comprehensive configuration and help system, allowing plenty of customization.
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.
You can unload the plugin without uninstalling it by unchecking the "Loaded/Unloaded" check box associated with the plugin in the Autodesk® Revit® Add-In Manager. You may have to restart Revit to completely unload the application.
To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel/Programs and Features' (Windows 7/8.1/10), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.
0: This program interacts with Microsoft Office ® product Excel ® and therefore needs this to be prior installed.
1: If the CAD program or Drawing Central "freezes" (for whatever reason) a component of Excel ® may not get released.
A: This is usually not a problem. If it does become one, then it is easily fixed with a computer reboot.
2: The program button icon does not appear when using a vertical software product. Such as Advance Steel ® or Mechanical ®.
A: There is most likely another app such as Dynamo ®, or messaging about Proxy Objects, which is interfering with the loading process. You will need to type the command "AutoCAD_Central" to activate the add-in for each session. Or you could un-install the other application (if not required).
3: Drawing Central loses connection to Microsoft ® Excel ®. This sometimes occurs after a program un-install.
A: To fix this problem you will need to use the Microsoft Office ® documented "online repair" process.
