Center Gravity

Center Gravity

Win64, English

jdsantana
Represents Center Gravity or Centroid point for model elements in Autodesk® Revit®.

General Usage Instructions

  1. Go to the JDS tab in the ribbon bar and click over the Center Gravity button.
  2. Prepare the elements of the model that will form the set to which the CG will be calculated.
  3. Select them; CG will be displayed automatically.

The expected result, the calculation of the CG of the selected element or elements as a whole, is presented in two ways, the first separated by its X Y Z values and the second as a vector (X; Y; Z).

Subsequently, a red point labeled with the previously calculated vector will be placed in the corresponding coordinates.

It should be noted that the vector is calculated from the internal origin of Revit and its values are expressed in the unit of measurement used in the project in question.

If during the process the CG is not displayed, verify that the visibility Generic models category is activated.
