You can run the program in 2 ways:

• right click on .rvt or .rfa file in windows explorer and select "RevViewer" command from the contextual menu (usually on the top of menu)
• go to the installation folder (normally "Program Files(x86)\Plandata GmbH\Revviewer) and run the .exe file

If you run the program from the contextual menu it will read the data from the selected file immediately. if you run it from the installation folder, click on "Open" button and select a file to view.

For project files the data are shown in 2 tabs:

• Basic Info
• Project Info

Basic Info tab contains data for BasicInfo as described in Revit API documentation. Most important are: Revit version, whether the project is worksharing one and whether its central model.

Project Info tab has parameters and their values assigned to ProjectInformation category.

For families 3 tabs are available:

• Basic Info
• Family Info
• Type Parameters

Family Info contains family-level parameters: category, host type, omniclass classification. Type parameters shows a table with all type parameters of the family and their values for each type. To select a type - click on the drop-down list.

To install this application you need administrator rights.

Run the msi file and follow the instructions.

To uninstall the program go to Windows Application settings, select RevViewer app and click uninstall.
