Get GUID

This application allows Revit users to get element GUID (UniqueId) and Revit element ID and store the value in specific parameter by user. The application proceeds with all categories which have the specific parameter by user.
To run "Get GUID" application you should follow the following instructions:
Step 1: Run the add-in "Get GUID" from Add-Ins Tab in Revit.
Step 2: Write the parameter name to store the GUID/ID value.
Step 3: click on "Get Element GUID" or on "Get Element ID" to store the needed values.
*Notes:
If the user entered not existing parameter, the application would ignore the command and close.
If the entered parameter is a read-only parameter, the application will show an error message and will ignore the command.
"Read-only parameter" refers to a parameter whose value cannot be directly modified. To solve it, got to Manage >> Project Parameter >> Choose your parameter >> check the categories to be for modelled elements in the model.

Installation/Uninstallation
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/add-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/add-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/add-in. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/add-in. To uninstall this add-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
