Engipedia Layers Manager PRO

Win64, English

engipedia
Autodesk® Revit® add-in that enables users to analyze, tag, & schedule layered structures by providing detailed material layer information, including thicknesses and customizable material properties.

General Usage Instructions

For detailed usage instructions, please watch the video tutorial: https://youtu.be/ZuzDGQm7BkA.

Upon installation, the application will add eight (8) Type parameters to the following Revit categories: Ceilings, Floors, Site Pads, Roofs, Structural Foundations, and Walls.

The parameters are:

  • EN Layers
  • EN Layers and Widths
  • EN Widths
  • EN Do Not Update
  • EN Type String
  • EN Layers Reversed
  • EN Layers and Widths Reversed
  • EN Widths Reversed

The first three and last three parameters are multiline (available in Revit 2016 and later).

To use the app:

  1. Run the application and click the "Fill Parameters" button to populate the parameters with material layer information.
  2. If any changes are made to the layers, rerun the app and use the "Fill Parameters" button again to update the data.
  3. If the EN Do Not Update (Yes/No) parameter is checked for a type, the application will skip updating that type.
  4. The EN Type String parameter is always updated. It can be used to compare different layered structures, making it useful for identifying duplicates or similarities using Revit's material schedule.
  5. The "Reversed" parameters store the reversed order of layers, useful for tagging and scheduling purposes.

Additionally, users can customize the syntax for reading and formatting material and layer data. All layer information can be exported to Excel or saved as a CSV file for further processing.
