Autodesk, Inc.
Advance Steel 2017 Extension enables BIM data exchange between Autodesk® Revit® 2017 and Advance Steel 2017, through a complete set of functionalities like import, export or synchronize.

General Usage Instructions

Using the Advance Steel Extension, the 3D structural models created in Revit, can be exported in a BIM data format ( smlx). The smlx file can then be imported in Advance Steel, and continue the workflow with structure detailing capabilities and creation of the fabrication documents.

Conversely, models can be exported from Advance Steel and then can be imported in Revit.

Users can also track changes in the same model in the different applications using the synchronization feature.
