General Usage Instructions

  1. Press the "Import Point Cloud" button to select the input scan file.
  2. Press "+" to select the file. Users can select multiple files or add them one by one.
  3. Enable the silent mode if you want to hide the progress bar.
  4. Select the positioning to import the point cloud at the selected position.
  5. Select the subsampling option to "Yes" if the user wants to subsample the point cloud data.
  6. If the user selected the subsampling option to "Yes" -> then insert the interpoint spacing distance in the range of 1 to 100 millimeters.
  7. If the input file is a txt/pts/xyz file then on the user interface select the proper column header and select point separator, The User can skip a number of lines and user can ignore colors/Normal's/Intensity by selecting "Ignore" option on column header dropdown.
  8. Press the "Import" button to start the process. 
  9. Wait till complete the import process and switch to 3D view to see the linked scan.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows /10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
