Etabs Beams Transfer allows you to duplicate all new beam family types and update all beams in Revit model to its new type.

To run "Etabs Beams Transfer" add-in you should follow the following instructions:

• Step 1: Click on the "Etabs Beams Transfer" icon from Add-Ins tab in Revit.

• Step 2: Pick a (0,0) point that match with (0,0) point in ETABS model. 

• Step 3: Click on "Browse" to insert the .$et file, which in the same location of ETABS model.

• Step 4: After inserting .$et file, click on "Import Etabs Data" to the load data into the add-in.

• Step 5: In "Family Selection" part, select the family type that you want to duplicate your new types from.

• Step 6: In "Width Parameter" and "Depth Parameter" parts, select the parameter that represent beam width and beam depth, respectively.

• Step 7: Click on "OK" to save the data.

• Step 8: In "Duplicate Types" part, select all beam types you wish to duplicate from ETABS to Revit then, click "Duplicate".

• Step 9: In "Levels Selection" part, select on needed levels from Etabs level checkbox and their corresponding Revit levels.

• Step 10: Ensure the number of selected levels in "Etabs Level" part matches the number of selected levels in the "Revit Level" part. Once confirmed, click Transfer to complete the process.

*Note:

After the process is complete, you can check a 3D view named "EtabsBeamsTransfer". This view will display all beams that were successfully updated, highlighted in green.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/add-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/add-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/add-in. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/add-in. To uninstall this add-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
