General Usage Instructions
Launch RevXL from the RevDev Studios tab, under the Data Link panel
Use the main form to create a new link. Once the new link dialog has opened up, navigate to the Excel file that you wish to link into Autodesk Revit. Select the sheet that you want to import and then click create the link. Once the link has been created the link will be present, with all the pertinent information in the RevXL main form dialog. The link will be created and present in the schedules drop down in the project browser.
To insert a data link onto a sheet, simply drag and drop the schedule on to whatever sheet you desire, like you would with any other Revit schedule.
If you want to update a link, make changes in Microsoft Excel, save the Excel file, and then launch RevXL, select the link you want to update, then click the update button. The link will be recreated with all the changes you made to the spreadsheet.
The installer that ran when you downloaded this plug-in from Autodesk App store has already installed the plug-in. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer by downloading it again from Autodesk App store, and select the 'Uninstall' button, or you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features' (Windows 7/8/8.1/10), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.
This offers a trial version THE EXACT same as RevEx. You request a trial version and then can upgrade after the trial period has ended.
