General Usage Instructions

Deviation nSpector allows you to map and rectify Point Cloud Deviation in your BIM Model. 

Steps for the usage of the same. 

Step 1: 

If you are installing this for the very first time, there is an option for the trial version of 30 days available with the plugin 

Step 2: 

Click on the Run Analysis button, the user will be presented with a UI requesting the following details: 

  • Limits: Define limits for comparison and their respective colors to represent the results. 
  • Select Point Cloud: The user is asked to select the loaded point cloud with which the deviation to the model is to be done. 
  • Results path: Select the location to store results, initially default document location is considered,(make sure there is 3 times the space available at the selected location with respect to the selected point cloud file size )  
  • Advanced comparison option:
    - Select Compare Only Visible Elements to analyse visible elements only. 
    - Sected Compare Link Model to analyse linked models.
    - Select Process Selected Elements to prcoess only selected elements.
    - Select Process Section Box Region Elements to process elements inside the section region.


Step 3: 

Click on Analyze deviation button and wait till the program computes the deviation.

Step 4 : 

Review the results using the color-coded point cloud and the graphs generated representing the results.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
